LARGE FORMAT 3D PRINTERS, CFAM FOR CONTINUOUS FIBER ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
The printing process is enclosed into a stable controlled environment which allows to print precise high pieces with precision.
CEAD has developed this technology and can take over your development through:
- The production of samples
- The delivery of printing materials
- Upgrade your existing equipment
The continuous carbon fiber or glass fiber is meshed into a thermoplastic during the printing. Both are extruded in the same time that permit to have a part with increased properties. This process is a way to create stronger parts than with fiber reinforced materials.
A TRUE TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT
The CFAM Prime is able to print up to 25 kg of material per hour (and 15 kg/h on average) on its adaptable printing bed. The speed of the head printer on its displacement axis (X and Y) is 1m/s.
This machine allows to print with every materials produced in pellets (even the hard materials like the PEEK, the PEKK and the ULTEM which need some modifications with special materials for the printer’s head because of corrosion), fiber-reinforced or not.
Moreover, it is possible to print in continuous carbon fiber and continuous glass fiber with the CEAD’s CFAM Prime solution.
This technology is controlled by the Siemens’ software Sinumerik.
