The new design of the printing bed with 6mm machined aluminum as a heating conductor ensures a more evenly distributed temperature and provides a micrometer flat surface.
In addition, the removable glass print plates are held onto the plate assembly with stainless steel corner clips, Tand custom made springs. The clips can be adjusted manually with no need for additional tools.
The new support brackets strengthen the frame of the 3D Printer to reduce vibrations during printing. With decreased vibrations, the finish of the print is improved.
The redesigned print cooling fan improves airflow. The new mounting position of the fan duct allows and enhances assessability and accessibility to the Hot End during calibration. These changes make calibrating the printer more facile and more accurate.
The recently introduced improved multi-touch capacitive touchscreen supports up to 10 finger touches. Together with the milled aluminum mounting bezel, the touch screen provides a better viewing angle.
The standard wiring for all non-static motors is changed to high-grade Igus Chainlex CF9 cables. This provides better reliability and higher lifespan of electrical components.

Leapfrog has also implemented changes of the chamber’s background material of the improved Bolt Pro. It has less of a glare, which gives a possibility to record better videos with the inbuilt camera. Now, users have more opportunities to use time-lapse of the printing process for educational, promotional, or controlling purposes.
