The Phenix DMP family of professional 3D printers (Phenix PXS, Phenix PXM, Phenix PXL) uses 3D printing technology called Direct Metal Printing (DMP). This 3D printing technique, also called “laser sintering” uses the energy of a laser to melt and fuse a material in powder form. The compatible materials are metals (stainless steels, non-ferrous alloys, and super alloys) as well as ceramics (Cermet for example). More than 15 different materials are available.
These professional 3D printers are recommended for making parts resistant to corrosion or high temperatures. DMP technology is used to produce the following parts: custom-made dental prostheses, orthopedic implants, watch parts, complex tools or injection molds.
