A recent Yeti Tool customer is now looking for bigger business premises, declaring that “SmartBench PrecisionPro delivers our business time-saving and precision CNC that has been a game-changer.”

Hertfordshire-based NessyTable.com, founded by Jeb Coates and Kevin Thompson 10 months ago, purchased a SmartBench PrecisionPro after coming across Yeti Tool Facebook Page following a personal recommendation.

“We had devised and developed educational tables for children with short attention spans because they have difficulties sitting still in class. We were making the Nessy Table by hand,” said Jeb.

“It was originally designed and made using hand tools, and was made specifically for children with ADHD and diabetes, so they could stand up and work in class.”

Once they purchased the SmartBench PrecisionPro, everything changed, as Kevin highlighted:

“It was taking two of us up to five hours to make one Nessy Table by hand in our cabinet-making business workshop. Using the SmartBench, we can now make five in the same length of time.”

“We still hand-finish all the tables and coat them with Ozmo wax Oil. In our design there are no hinges or screws, it all lifts and locks into place making it robust and easy to put together,” added Kevin.

Within eight months of utilising their SmartBench, Jeb and Kevin have sold their Nessy Tables to 35 schools across the country, including in Scotland and Guernsey.

“SmartBench has helped us to create a design that is 30% cheaper than the nearest competitor,” said Jeb.

“We sell the Nessy Table for £185 and have grown by word-of-mouth to provide both state and private schools learning support departments with our unique educational table,” he added.

The portable, foldable table is currently made from Baltic Birch plywood, with plans to develop a table using eco-friendly recyclable plastic materials in sheet form. The SmartBench PrecisionPro will also be used to cut these.

“The SmartBench delivers our business time-savings and precision CNC that has been a significant change. We are looking at bigger premises as we are growing so quickly,” concluded Jeb.
