The German company CEVOTEC has developed and supplies Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology for complex shaped composites, using its own laminate design and robot programming software for full digital product and process development.
The Fiber Patch Placement FFP technology enables the automated placement of carbon fibre patches, glass fibres, adhesive films… on complex 3D geometries. It is now possible to automate operations that were previously manual: for example, the placement of composite reinforcements for aerostructures or pressure vessels and more generally on any form of complex geometry with a small radius of curvature.
