Prima is an Italian company belonging to the Prima Industrie group, which has been specialising in laser systems for industrial applications, sheet metal processing machines, industrial electronics, and laser sources for over 40 years.
Prima’s proposal is to bring to the market a metal additive manufacturing solution using a proven technology, offering excellent mechanical characteristics and capable of manufacturing parts with complex geometries impossible to obtain with a different process.
The core of Prima’s technology is SLM (Selective Laser Melting), a technology that uses a powder bed and the passage of a 200 to 500W laser to bond the particles together. This technology allows the production of dense, machinable metal parts at reasonable cost.
