PRIMA ADDITIVE – Ianus Cell

Manufacturer : Prima Additive
Sectors : Aerospace, Automotive, Industry, Medical

The special feature of Ianus Cell® is the possibility to be configured for different laser processes such as direct energy deposition based on the use of powder or wire as starting material, but also other laser processes that are not necessarily part of the additive manufacturing spectrum, such as laser welding (proximity or distance) and laser hardening.

This solution can also be configured to perform two different processes in the same machine, using the same laser source or different laser sources on the same robotic arm.

Ianus Cell METAL 3D PRINTER

The Ianus Cell® uses Direct Energy Deposition (DED) technology, a compact and precise laser platform for direct metal powder deposition. The fabrication material can also be a wire. It is suitable for 3D manufacturing, component repair, research into new materials and the development of repair, reconstruction or coating applications. Also, this platform is used for laser welding.

EQUIPMENT

Equipped with an advanced additive head and a laser cutting head, it features minimal tooling requirements, efficient material utilisation, multi-material capabilities and high flexibility as it is mounted on a robot arm. Automatic head and chamber changeover.
