SOLUTIONS FOR THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY

  • Weld Seam Preparation Machines:
Miba designs weld seam preparation machines for pressure vessels, wind towers, and various industrial applications.
The group offers standard machines, circular and longitudinal seam milling machines for external weld preparation, as well as customized machines for specific applications (e.g., submarines).
These machines are particularly relevant for defense sectors such as shipbuilding and submarine manufacturing, given the complexity and quality requirements of welds.

  • CNC Machining Units for Tank Bodies and Turrets, and for Rework:
Miba has supplied mobile CNC equipment to KNDS and General Dynamics.
Machines for KNDS were used for repair work on Leopard tanks in the production line and for after-sales service.
Machines for General Dynamics were machining centers for tank bodies and turrets, used on the Pandur tank production line.

  • Customized CNC Machining Centers:
Miba offers CNC machining centers for unique applications where standard equipment is not suitable.
The range extends from very small CNC centers to large-scale machining centers, fully customized.
